Laser Technology

Victus Femtosecond Laser

Victus Femtosecond LaserUsed in the first step of the LASIK and cataract procedure, the Victus femtosecond laser emits optical laser pulses of extremely short duration, as short as one-quadrillionth of a second. These ultra-short pulses do not transfer heat or shock to your eye and can make surgical incisions with extreme precision.

Benefits of the Victus Laser include:

  • Versatility - Cataract and corneal (LASIK flap) procedure capabilities, meaning your doctor has vast experience on the laser since it is used in all laser procedures.
  • Real-time, high contrast display of your eye under the surface.
  • Enhanced patient comfort, with procedure-dependent pressure control.
  • Pulse rates up to 160 kHz - minimizes procedure time and enhances surgeon control

Technolas Zyoptix Laser

Used in the second step of the LASIK procedure, the Technolas Zyoptix excimer laser is used by your surgeon to reshape the cornea. This reshaping allows light to focus on the retina correctly, providing clearer vision.

Technolas Zyoptix Laser

Benefits of the Victus Laser include:

  • Improved Night Vision: in clinical studies, Zyoptix® patients had better night driving vision than did patients who had conventional LASIK
  • In-depth Diagnostics: The Zywave system offer an additional screening process to further ensure a personally tailored procedure and superior outcome.
