Dr. Al-Shweiki was born and raised in Jordan, he graduated from The University of Jordan with honors and completed his internship in General Surgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.

Dr. Al-Shweiki then completed his Ophthalmology residency at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar, then moved back to the US and did Ophthalmology residency training at New York Medical College.

He is currently completing his fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Valley Retina Institute, but still interested in treating all types of ophthalmic disease especially complicated cataracts and diabetic eye disease.
